Valentines day is all about making sure that the following humans in your life feel loved and cared for:

♥ PARIS.... J'ADORE! ♥

We ate lots of baguettes, brioche, salmon, croissants, sushi, confiture fraises and omelettes. We drank 50 Eur mojitos and 40 Eur shots of vodka. We visited the Monnaie de Paris for the David La Chapelle exhibit. We went to the museum of Fashion and Clothing and saw Napoleonic evening wear and a peacock muff that Zarah fell in love with. Our maid dressed up in our clothes, drank our vodka and listened to our iPod while we were out. We got chased by a man with a shoe fetish at 2am in Montmatre. We got into a taxi with a brothel owner who was thinking about kidniapping us.

WE. SAW. DITA.

If you ever get a chance to go and see her in the beautiful, porcelein, perfect, blemish free, angel-like flesh then do it because she is incredible. An enigma, a mystery, I want to know her! Also the Crazy Horse was an unbelievable venue - we had a bottle of champagne on ice, complimentary CosmopoliTEESE cocktails coourtesy of the handsome waiters, and an ocular and aural treat that one can only dream of in the form of the Crazy Horse dancers. Indescribable!

I WANNA VIT YOU UP !

OK so I can't possibly be the only one who is slightly preplexed by this new, mysterious super-drink taking over our eyes and ears of late. VITAMINWATER. If the hype is true (and I can vouch: IT IS!!!) then this new phenomenon of the beverage world is like a little lifesaver in mouthwateringly delicious liquid form. I am particularly fond of their newest addition to the VitWater family: Revive (also known as 'the purple one'). Being in my final year of uni, and having already this year spent a solid weekend in the library high on caffeine and battling droopy eyelids, with the prospect of work and more lectures the following day, I am more than a little excited at the prospect of something being able to really, truly, perk me up!

The REVIVE flavour is at hand to keep hard-working folks hydrated after all those late nights (both those necessary 'academic' ones and the not-so-necessary 'WHAT HAVE I DONE' all nighters...) this term and beyond. It is packed fall of a combination of potassium, vitamin B, and essential B vitamins. so it's the perfect choice for picking you up off your feet and getting over the morning after the night before. Or just getting up at all if you know you've gotto sift through ten thousand mediaeval manuscripts in the library. We've all been there! If you want to know what all the fuss is about, make sure you keep an eye out .... The glaceau VITAMINWATER teams will be visiting university campuses during january and february to ensure students have a taste of REVIVE. Hurrah! In fact, I bumped into a row of said drinks in the University of Birmingham's cafe Go! They know their stuff!

OK SO I am slightly obsessed with Mötley Crüe, as most of you will know. And in 2 weeks I am going to Paris, to the Crazy Horse, to see DITA VON TEESE! So! Imagine my utter delight, pure & simple, when I make the mental connection between the two...:

"Crazy Horse, Paris, France, forget the names, remember romance, I got the photos, a menage a trois, musta broke those Frenchies laws with those Girls, Girls. Girls..."

From their awesome, ace, fabulous, wonderfully ridiculous album GIRLS GIRLS GIRLS. Zsas and I will attempt to recreate the debauchery previously wreaked by the Crüe in 1983. Only with less sexual promiscuity, drugs and general masculinity. (AKA we will swan about in nice dresses holding cigarettes like Audrey Hepburn and sipping Moet.. whilst at the Crazy Horse. HAHAHAH)

I have it on good authority, having read every Mötley biography/ autobiography on the shelves, that Mick Mars was so drunk during this photoshoot that he nearly drowned in the suds and had to be propped up. ROCK!

...is holding me hostage in the university library this weekend.

Luckily for me I have my new best, hairy friends FLEET FOXES to keep me company. The only problem is that I have to almost physically restrain myself from getting lost in the music and mournfully wailing along the music, such is my passion for these seattle hippies. It's keeping me going at any rate. This makes me want a pet goat or three:

And whilst we are on the subject of animals, I was in such close proximity to a squirrel today that I stood open-mouthed on campus for a good minute, edging as close to the little creature as I could without scaring him away. I didn't succeed, but since that moment this morning I have felt blessed and appreciative and happy. He made my day and nothing and nobody can ruin it now! They are so fluffy and yet fluid all at once - isn't that just the biggest oxymoron you ever heard? Miraculous.
